The Château de Ventadour , about twenty kilometers west of Neuvic, overlooks the Luzège Valley, perched on its rock at an altitude of 512 meters! It is a dive into the Middle Ages, in this castle which was the host of several troubadours, artists who put into song poems in the language of Oc, to tell the adventures and the news to the villagers and entertain the Lords . The rocky structure of the castle juts out like the bow of a boat attacking the vegetation! The Château can be visited, on a self -guided tour with a booklet or a guided tour in summer. It is open from April to September.
