The local products of Corrèze are generous, like its nature.
The region is a land of mushrooms, chestnuts, apples with an AOP such as the Limousin apple, small red fruits (especially the legendary Monédières blueberry), walnuts (you can even take the Route de la Noix).
Freshwater fish are also raised there, which have no shortage of places to flourish, Limousin Label rouge beef , milk-fed calves , black-breasted pigs , geese and ducks which can be enjoyed whole, in foie gras, in preserves... Added to this are sweet delights (jam and honey) as well as cheeses, including the melting Feuille du Limousin.
If you are a gourmet, you can taste all these products in the restaurants of Corrèze, find them on the colorful, fragrant and tasty stalls of the markets, in the producers' stores, or directly on the farm. You can even pick them, combining pleasure and a stroll that always pleases young and old!
Corrèze is full of small villages worth a detour, labeled Most Beautiful Villages of France. Collonges-la-Rouge, Turenne, Ségur-le-Château…, go for a curious walk in these charming little villages and take the opportunity to recharge your batteries.
